Veterinary Emergency Group The PC is seeking a part-time Veterinary Sonographer in Oklahoma City, OK. The role focuses on ultrasound support for VEG hospitals and regional training facilities, collaborating with emergency doctors to provide same-day scans for pets and coordinating education opportunities across locations.

Formación

• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT/LVMT) and/or diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent.
• 3+ years veterinary ultrasound experience.
• Previous training experience and the ability to teach doctors, nurses, and fellow sonographers.
• Willingness to travel to regional hospitals and off-site training facilities.

Responsabilidades

• Perform ultrasound studies at home and regional hospitals and support ultrasound training programs.
• Maintain relationships with teleconsultation radiologists (e.g., Antech, SonoPath, IDEXX, VetsChoice).
• Ensure training content aligns with VEG culture, mission, and up-to-date techniques.
• Track skills with VEG Ultrasound Certificate checklist.
• Engage in program evaluation to improve training.
• Meet with medical directors and radiology education leaders to discuss objectives and needs.
• Coordinate weekly floor shifts with hospital manager and medical director and dedicate time to training.
• Develop ultrasound curriculum content (PowerPoints, videos, simulations, assessments).
• Provide educational demonstrations for doctors and nurses at other VEG locations.
