Job summary

Mars in Altamont Region (Stockton, Tracy, Livermore, San Ramon, Pleasanton) is seeking a Veterinary District Sales Manager. This field-based role requires living in the territory and traveling roughly 20–30% with occasional weekends.

You will execute the Vet BU strategy by translating clinic data into opportunities, developing territory plans, and building relationships with clinic decision-makers. Collaboration across teams is key to growing Mars’s veterinary business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends; approx. 20–30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs to grow clinics in the territory.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations addressing the needs of veterinary staff.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across BU and organization to balance needs and objectives.
• Build partnerships and collaborate with others to meet shared objectives.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy effectively.
• Work in a cross-functional team-based environment in dynamic, fluid settings.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and adjust strategies to maximize territory performance.
• Manage expense and sales budgets; complete CRM and expense reports timely.
