Join our team at the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital! We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician II to join our Dentistry department. In this role, you'll assist professional staff in treating animals admitted to the hospital and help maintain a sanitary, well-organized service. Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology, biomedical science, animal science, or related field, or equivalent experience

  • Two years’ experience in veterinary dental medicine

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician certification

  • Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and billing entry

Additional Information

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Schedule: May require working alternate shifts, holidays, weekends, or on-call duties. Essential personnel must report during campus closures or emergencies unless relieved by a supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Support faculty veterinarians with dental procedures, diagnostics, zoonotic disease control, medication administration, medical records, sample collection, and history taking.

  • Instruction & Support: Assist in anesthesia induction, fluid therapy, and instruct veterinary students in clinical techniques.

  • Service Maintenance: Maintain supplies, perform equipment checks, enter charges, keep the clinical area organized, and assist in research trials, literature searches, and data collation.
