Qualifications

• College or college-equivalent education required to become a Credentialed Veterinary Technician.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate and sympathetic demeanor.
• Telephone and computer skills required.
• Team player willing to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients; obtain weight, vitals and history; document in EMR.
• Assist veterinarian with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
• Perform patient restraint; handle lab samples; dispense medications as directed.
• Schedule appointments; educate clients; maintain records and manage accounts receivable.
