Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of Veterinary Technician experience.
• Must be Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state where the hospital is located.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate and sympathetic demeanor; professional attitude under stress.
• Must be a team player and willing to learn new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, obtain vitals, and document visits in the EMR.
• Assist veterinarian with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia.
• Handle and dispense medications under veterinarian direction; maintain EMR.
• Manage appointments, educate clients, and update records and inventory.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist with anesthesia, monitoring, and recovery.
