Job summary

Petco is seeking a Veterinary Technician for our Vetco Total Care full-service hospital to provide excellent veterinary care and outstanding client service. You will assist veterinarians with exams, surgeries, dentistry, and anesthesia, perform patient restraint, collect samples, maintain records, and support a compassionate, collaborative team focused on patient well-being and client satisfaction.

This on-site role requires compassion, attention to detail, and the ability to educate clients

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician per state requirements.
• At least 1 year of vet tech experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Compassionate, professional under pressure.
• Strong telephone and computer skills.
• Team player willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, take vitals, and document in EMR.
• Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia.
• Record treatments, manage medications, and update EMR.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, and manage records.
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor anesthesia.
• Provide in-hospital treatments and care as directed.
