Job summary

ASPCA is seeking a licensed Veterinary Technician to join the Community Medicine team in Queens. You will support spay/neuter surgeries, preventive care, and outpatient procedures at the on-site clinic with a focus on underserved communities.

Qualifications

• Must be a NYS-licensed Veterinary Technician.
• Experience in a high-volume clinical setting preferred.
• Excellent animal handling and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Care for cats and dogs in spay/neuter surgery (35–40/day).
• Administer injections, vaccines, and other medications.
• Monitor vital signs in pre-, intra-, and post-operative care.
• Explain procedures and care to clients.
• Enter medical information into digital databases.
• Adhere to CM SOPs and OSHA protocols.
