Job summary

ASPCA Community Medicine is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our on-site team at the Queens Community Veterinary Clinic. You will work alongside veterinarians and technicians in HQHVSN and preventive care, focusing on high-volume surgical and outpatient procedures.

Responsibilities include anesthesia, injections, patient exams, and client communication. Strong animal handling, NY license eligibility, and a collaborative, compassionate approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited veterinary technology program or equivalent.
• New York State Vet Tech license eligibility within 30 days is required.
• Experience with surgery/anesthesia is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for cats and dogs in spay/neuter and clinical settings.
• Administer injections, vaccines, analgesics, and fluids as needed.
• Monitor vital signs and anesthetic parameters during procedures.
• Maintain patient records and logs for controlled substances.
