Job summary

The ASPCA’s Community Medicine team seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician to support high-volume spay/neuter and preventive care at the Queens Community Veterinary Clinic in Long Island City, NY. You’ll work with veterinarians and staff to provide care, perform procedures, and assist with client communication.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of veterinary science technology or equivalent.
• Surgery/Anesthesia experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds and stand 8+ hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Care for 35-40 cats and dogs per day in spay/neuter surgery.
• Administer injections, vaccines, and other medications as directed.
• Enter medical information into digital databases and maintain records.
• Provide compassionate customer service and explain veterinary information to clients.
