Job summary

The ASPCA's Community Medicine team in New York City seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician to support high-volume spay/neuter and preventive care at our Queens Community Veterinary Clinic, onsite. You will assist with surgeries, exams, injections, and client education while maintaining medical records.

Requirements include NYS Veterinary Technician license and strong animal handling and communication skills; bilingual abilities (Spanish) are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS Veterinary Technician license or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Graduated from an accredited Veterinary Technician program (2–4 years).
• Excellent animal handling and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Care for cats and dogs during spay/neuter surgeries and outpatient care.
• Administer injections, monitor anesthesia, and prepare medications.
• Explain medical information to clients and maintain patient records.
• Collaborate with CM staff and participate in staff training.
