Job summary

ASPCA Community Medicine seeks a licensed veterinary technician for on-site work at the Queens Veterinary Clinic in NYC. You will assist in high-volume spay/neuter surgeries and outpatient care, administer medications, monitor anesthesia, and support client communication.

The role emphasizes compassionate animal care, teamwork with veterinarians and CM staff, and adherence to safety protocols. English required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of veterinary science technology (2- or 4-year program).
• Excellent animal handling and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to use computer systems and documentation efficiently.
• New York State Veterinary Technician license or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Care for 35-40 cats and dogs per day during spay/neuter and outpatient procedures.
• Administer injections, monitor anesthesia, and perform venipuncture.
• Maintain patient records and assist with medical treatments.
• Represent ASPCA professionally and collaborate with CM staff.
