Job summary

Peach Orchard Veterinary Clinic in Sumter, SC is seeking a Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate, patient-focused team. This full-time role supports preventative care, vaccines, and surgical and emergency patient care, with a schedule Monday–Friday and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is required.
  • LVT or CVT credentials are strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and effective patient handling and restraint.
  • Support preventative care appointments and vaccine protocols.
  • Assist with emergency and surgical patient care, including IV catheter placement.
  • Obtain diagnostics including radiographs, phlebotomy, and laboratory sample collection.
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing and patient monitoring.
  • Support veterinarians during exams, procedures, and treatments.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
  • Serve as a mentor and positive resource for fellow team members.

Position Overview

Role: Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant

Status: Full-Time

Salary: Negotiable and based on experience and licensure

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.; rotating Saturday shifts required

What You’ll Do
