Job summary

Vetcor's Springboro Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced veterinary technician or veterinary assistant for a full-time role in Ohio.

You will assist veterinarians, provide nursing care to small animals and exotics, monitor anesthesia, handle venipuncture, radiographs, lab work, and maintain medical records while educating clients.

Qualifications

  • Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with patient exams, treatments, and procedures.
  • Provide compassionate nursing care to small animals and exotics.
  • Safely handle and restrain patients.
  • Support surgical and orthopedic procedures.
  • Assist with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
  • Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
  • Collect and process laboratory samples.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
  • Assist with radiographs and diagnostic procedures.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.
  • Educate clients and clearly communicate veterinary recommendations.
  • Support behavioral and nutritional consultations as needed.
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes in condition.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to keep the hospital running smoothly.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.

Position Details
  • Role: Experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM with a two-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM; every other Saturday from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Experience: Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience required
