Role Overview
Springboro Veterinary Clinic is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant for a full‑time position.
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7:30 – 7:30 with a 45‑minute break; Thursday PM (1:00 – 7:30) or Saturday AM (7:30 – 1:30) alternating.
Salary: Negotiable, based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vitals, and patient assessments.
- Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
- Provide compassionate, high‑quality nursing care from intake through discharge.
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
- Obtain high‑quality radiographs and maintain imaging standards.
- Run in‑house laboratory testing including CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing.
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during procedures while maintaining accurate records.
- Practice Fear Free and low‑stress handling techniques.
- Educate clients regarding medications, discharge instructions, preventive care, and treatment plans.
- Maintain clean, stocked treatment and exam areas while following infection‑control protocols.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain efficient workflows and exceptional patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Previous Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant experience.
