Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals in California is seeking a Shift Lead to support leadership and paraprofessional duties across shifts. The role combines frontline pet care with operational oversight to keep the hospital productive and client-focused.

You will work with Practice Manager and COS to communicate with clients, associates and field leadership, recruit and mentor staff, ensure safety, and help deliver high-quality preventive care according to NAVTA and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead paraprofessional staff and coordinate with hospital leadership to maximize productivity.
• Promote hospital services and ensure high-quality client care and pet health.
• Assist with surgery as applicable and maintain medical charts and records.
• Provide professional client service and educate clients on wellness plans and services.
