Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals seeks a Shift Lead to provide leadership across shifts and perform paraprofessional duties as a veterinary assistant/technician. The role focuses on maintaining hospital productivity, guiding staff, and ensuring exceptional client care.

The Shift Lead will collaborate with Practice Manager and Chief of Staff to communicate effectively with clients, associates, and leadership, while promoting our Five Principles and high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform paraprofessional duties including veterinary assistant/technician tasks.
• Ability to lead and coordinate paraprofessional staff across shifts.
• Strong communication with clients, associates and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead paraprofessional duties (approx. 80% of time) and assist with hospital productivity.
• Coordinate client flow and scheduling to support wellness plans and client care.
• Assist Practice Manager and COS in leadership and staff development.
• Educate clients about pet health, hospital services and wellness plans.
