Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Shift Lead to balance leadership duties and paraprofessional work across shifts. You will coordinate paraprofessional staff, assist veterinarians, educate clients on wellness plans, and ensure efficient hospital operations and high-quality care.

The role requires 2+ years in healthcare or veterinary settings, plus an associate degree or veterinary technician certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred, or the equivalent.
• Two years healthcare or veterinary experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Must multi-task and communicate effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of CSC and/or veterinary assistant/technician; lead paraprofessional staff on shift.
• Coordinate client/pet flow; promote hospital services and wellness plans.
• Maintain medical charts, records, and proper safety protocols in exam rooms and labs.
• Assist with surgery as applicable and support Practice Manager in staffing and operations.
• Provide outstanding client service and ensure high-quality care and productivity.
