Highland Animal Hospital in Needham Heights, MA is seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to be the primary contact for clients and their pets, balancing administrative precision with warmth in a clinical setting. Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software (Cornerstone, Avimark, ImproMed, eVetPractice or ezyVet preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication, and ability to handle high-volume client relations with composure.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update medical records, and confirm appointment details using practice management software.
• Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system, responding to inquiries regarding scheduling, refills, vaccination records, and general hospital information.
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Communicate medical information compassionately, including in emotionally sensitive situations such as euthanasia scheduling.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure timely data entry in the PIMS system.
• Coordinate with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff to relay client communications and maintain patient flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
