Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as veterinary receptionist.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software.
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and vaccination protocols.
• Proficiency in appointment scheduling, phone management, records and payments.
• Strong customer service skills with composure in high-volume client relations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; active listening.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients; verify records and appointments.
• Answer multi-line phone system; handle scheduling and refills.
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices and schedule follow-ups.
• Convey medical information and care instructions compassionately, including end-of-life discussions.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records in the PIMS system.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to maintain patient flow.
• Maintain reception area cleanliness and organization.
