Helping Hands Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This hybrid role balances front desk client service with hands-on patient care, ensuring a smooth flow of appointments and high-quality animal care.

• Salary: $16 – $18.70 per hour

What Our Veterinary Receptionists/Assistants Do

Client Care & Reception

• Greet clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
• Answer phones and respond to client questions efficiently
• Schedule appointments and help maintain an organized daily workflow
• Check patients in and out while ensuring accurate client and patient information
• Process invoices and collect payments
• Communicate hospital policies, services, and basic care information clearly
• Maintain accurate client and patient records

• Coordinate with veterinarians and the medical team to support efficient patient flow

Veterinary Assistant & Patient Care

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Safely handle and restrain patients using compassionate techniques
• Prepare exam and treatment areas for patients and procedures
• Assist with basic patient care and monitoring
• Help collect and prepare laboratory samples as trained
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain patient care areas and equipment
• Stock treatment and exam areas with necessary supplies
• Help maintain accurate patient records
• Learn and develop additional veterinary assistant skills through hands‑on training
• Jump in wherever needed to help keep the hospital running smoothly
