Job summary

Bayshore Animal Clinic in Tampa, FL seeks a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to be the welcoming first point of contact for clients and their pets. You will manage phones, appointments, data entry, and payments while supporting veterinarians and technicians in a fast-paced, compassionate environment.

Ideal candidates have prior veterinary reception or client service experience, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn our practice management software.

We're looking for a Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our front desk team and help create an exceptional experience from the moment a client walks through our doors.

Clinic Hours

Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM-6:00 PM

Saturday: 8:00 AM-1:00 PM

Sunday: Closed

What You'll Be Doing

• Greet clients and patients with a warm, professional, and compassionate approach
• Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and manage appointment flow
• Obtain and update patient medical histories and client information
• Check clients in and out and process invoices and payments accurately
• Fill prescriptions and assist with food and over-the-counter product requests
• Communicate patient needs and client concerns with veterinarians and veterinary technicians
• Maintain accurate patient records and enter information into veterinary practice management software
• Assist clients with questions regarding appointments, services, medications, and hospital policies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
• Provide compassionate support to clients during routine visits, emergencies, and end-of-life experiences

What We're Looking For

• Previous veterinary reception, veterinary receptionist, veterinary client service, or veterinary hospital experience preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable answering phones and assisting multiple clients in a busy environment
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn veterinary practice management software
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain professional in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with dogs, cats, and other companion animals
• Compassionate, dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30-50 pounds when needed
