Bayshore Animal Clinic in Tampa, FL is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our welcoming front desk team. You will greet clients, manage appointments, and handle payments with compassion for both pets and their families.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary reception, client service, or hospital front desk is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Proficient with computers and veterinary practice software.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients warmly and professionally.
• Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and manage flow.
• Update patient histories and client information.
• Process check-ins/outs, invoices, and payments accurately.
• Assist with prescriptions and product requests as needed.
• Communicate client needs to veterinarians and technicians.
• Maintain accurate records in the system.
• Provide information on services, policies, and timelines.
• Keep reception area clean and welcoming.
• Support clients through routine visits, emergencies, and difficult moments.

Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
Sunday: Closed

What You'll Be Doing

• Greet clients and patients with a warm, professional, and compassionate approach
• Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and manage appointment flow
• Obtain and update patient medical histories and client information
• Check clients in and out and process invoices and payments accurately
• Fill prescriptions and assist with food and over-the-counter product requests
• Communicate patient needs and client concerns with veterinarians and veterinary technicians
• Maintain accurate patient records and enter information into veterinary practice management software
• Assist clients with questions regarding appointments, services, medications, and hospital policies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
• Provide compassionate support to clients during routine visits, emergencies, and end-of-life experiences

What We're Looking For

• Previous veterinary reception, veterinary receptionist, veterinary client service, or veterinary hospital experience preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable answering phones and assisting multiple clients in a busy environment
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn veterinary practice management software
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain professional in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with dogs, cats, and other companion animals
• Compassionate, dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30–50 pounds when needed
