Responsibilities

• Check-in and discharge patients; invoicing.
• Greet customers and process appointments and payments.
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and record messages for staff.
• Handle mail and email; maintain patient charts.
• Enter data into billing program; retrieve prescriptions.
• Assist with pet supplies purchases (food, supplements, grooming).
• Maintain waiting room cleanliness.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Retail sales as needed.

Veterinary Receptionist

Job Responsibilities:

• Checking patients in, discharging patients, invoicing
• Provide customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling payments
• Answer phone calls which may include answering questions, scheduling appointments and recording messages for doctors and staff
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email
• Update and file patient charts
• Enter data into computerize billing program
• Retrieve prescriptions
• Assist with pet supply purchases such as food, supplements, and grooming items
• Maintain the cleanliness of waiting room
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods
• Retail sales
