Job summary

CareVet Reno Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, patient-focused team member to join our front desk. You will greet clients, answer questions, schedule appointments, process payments and help maintain organized patient records in a fast-paced veterinary setting.

Responsibilities include phone duties, mail handling, data entry for billing, and assisting with pet-related products. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential for serving the community and supporting clinicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Customer Service experience.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Tech-savvy with basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling payments.
• Answer phone calls which may include answering questions, scheduling appointments and recording messages for doctors and staff
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email
• Update and file patient charts
• Enter data into computerized billing program
• Retrieve prescriptions
• Assist with pet supply purchases such as food, supplements, and grooming items
• Maintain the cleanliness of waiting room
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods
• Retail sales
