Big Island Pet Care Center in Hawaiian Paradise Park is seeking a friendly receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients and their pets. You will welcome visitors, answer calls, schedule appointments, and support daily clinic operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of veterinary front-desk experience or a willingness to learn, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent required.

We take pride in offering an environment where clients and patients are greeted by a courteous receptionist, clean exam rooms, friendly doctors, and caring technicians.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a passionate Receptionist to join our dedicated team. As the first point of contact for clients visiting or calling our clinic, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for both clients and their pets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome clients and their pets warmly
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar
• Obtain and update accurate patient information and records
• Assist clients with inquiries and provide information about our veterinary services
• Collect payments and maintain financial records
• Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient care
• Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of veterinary experience preferred; willing to train the right person
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for outstanding customer service
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems
• Previous experience as a receptionist preferred; willingness to learn is essential
• Passion for animals and a genuine desire to contribute to their well-being
• High school diploma or equivalent
