Metro Paws Animal Hospital in Skillman (Dallas, TX) is seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated veterinary team. As a Veterinary Receptionist and the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll play a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming, and professional experience for pets and their families. Responsibilities

Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:

• Welcome clients and pets and provide exceptional customer service
• Answer phones, emails, and client questions professionally
• Schedule appointments, wellness visits, sick visits, surgeries, and follow-ups
• Check clients in and out and maintain accurate patient records
• Process payments, invoices, and prescription requests
• Communicate veterinary recommendations and follow-up instructions
• Coordinate communication between clients and the veterinary team
• Address client concerns with empathy and professionalism
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
• Support daily veterinary hospital operations and administrative needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous veterinary receptionist, veterinary hospital, or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Friendly, compassionate, and professional with clients and their pets
• Comfortable answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling payments
• Basic computer and veterinary practice management software skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate patient records
• Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and support others
• Comfortable handling a variety of animal species and breeds
• Passion for providing exceptional client service and compassionate veterinary care
