Overview

Beaverton Pet Clinic is looking for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join the team!

Compensation: $20 - $22/hr depending on experience

Location: 11876 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, Beaverton, OR 97005

About Us: Beaverton Pet Clinic has been a part of the local community for over 25 years. We are a 5-doctor hospital with about 18 support staff, currently in a larger, renovated space. We're excited to expand our team!

About: We value training and supporting our Client Service Representatives (CSRs), who are the face of our hospital. Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of veterinary client service experience, but we are willing to train the right person. We are hiring part-time, 3 days a week, with Saturday availability.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience With:

• Handling all types of veterinary client communications with a friendly demeanor
• Serving as liaison between doctors, medical team, and clients
• Navigating scheduling and processing payments through our software
• Providing consistent and compassionate client service
• Basic medical terminology knowledge (vaccines, medications, emergency signs)
• Problem-solving skills

Job Summary: The Receptionist is the first and last contact for clients, requiring excellent customer service, communication, and multi-tasking skills. The role supports veterinarians, technicians, assistants, groomers, and kennel staff.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet clients and pets warmly
2. Answer phones professionally, provide animal care info, and route calls
3. Schedule appointments and surgeries, confirm bookings
4. Document client conversations accurately
5. Process payments and explain invoices
6. Verify client information and update records
7. Fill prescriptions and provide care instructions
8. Advise clients on products and preventatives
