Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health in Bonney Lake, WA seeks a Practice Manager to lead the hospital under the Principal Doctor. You will ensure top‑tier veterinary care, exceptional client service, and a motivated, productive team while upholding budget goals and helping the hospital grow.

Collaborate with the Principal Doctor to optimize profitability and productivity, manage HR activities, scheduling, compliance, and community outreach, and maintain strong working relationships with the entire team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher in business management or related field is a plus.
• Experience in veterinary medicine or supervisor role preferred.
• CVPM or CVPA certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Principal Doctor to uphold WellHaven brand by providing consistent, high-quality veterinary care and exceptional service to patients and clients.
• Maximize hospital efficiency, productivity, and profitability through effective management practices.
• Oversee and train employees in delivering professional, efficient, and exceptional client service.
• Address and resolve conflicts with clients or employees.
• Interview, select, train, develop, coach, and mentor employees.
• Manage onboarding, benefits, workers' compensation, recruiting, coaching, and counseling.
• Develop annual plans, budgets, and hospital productivity targets with leadership.
• Maintain licenses, inventory, and purchasing; control cash handling and loss prevention.
• Coordinate community outreach and external marketing efforts with leadership.
• Ensure compliance with policies and laws; maintain accurate medical charts.
