Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Practice Manager to lead our veterinary hospital in Renton, WA. You will partner with the Principal Doctor to uphold the WellHaven standard of care, drive hospital profitability, and coach a high‑performing team focused on client service.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, compliance with DEA/OSHA, staff development, and community outreach. The role requires strong communication, resilience in a fast‑paced environment, and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or equivalent experience.
• Associate degree or higher in business management or related field preferred.
• Experience as a supervisor/manager in veterinary medicine or health-related industry preferred.
• CVPM or CVPA certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Principal Doctor to uphold the WellHaven brand and provide high-quality veterinary care and service to patients and clients.
• Maximize hospital efficiency, productivity, and profitability through sound management practices.
• Oversee and train staff to deliver professional client service, educate clients on Wellness Plans and preventive care.
• Address and resolve conflicts involving clients or employees.
• Interview, train, develop, coach, and mentor staff in collaboration with leadership.
• Manage basic Human Resources activities including onboarding, benefits, workers' comp, recruitment, coaching.
• Develop annual plans, budgets, and hospital productivity targets with leadership.
• Ensure compliance with safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
