Santee Animal Hospital is seeking a courteous veterinary practice manager to oversee all office administration, inventory, scheduling, and customer service. The role requires coordinating staff, handling policies and costs with clients, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Candidates should be organized, experienced in veterinary terminology, and comfortable with computer systems. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential for a collaborative hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience or 3+ years veterinary experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable in veterinary medicine terminology.
• Compassionate, calm, team player, multitasker and strong communicator.
• Highly organized and possess computer skills.
• Self-starter with desire to advance knowledge and skillset.
• Open availability with flexibility to change hours based on hospital needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all office administration procedures.
• Order inventory and maintain supply stock; establish vendor relationships.
• Direct staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Answer owners' questions regarding policies, appointments, and costs.
• Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Ensure payroll processing and compliance with DEA/OSHA policies.
• Develop and implement office policies to improve efficiency.
• Handle staff conflicts and promote a positive work environment.
• Onboard new staff and supervise ongoing staff development.
