AmeriVet’s The Pet Hospital of La Mesa is seeking a Practice Manager to lead daily operations, drive growth, and foster a high-performing team. You will manage staff, finances, client relations, and marketing efforts to deliver exceptional patient care.

The role requires 3–5 years in management (veterinary preferred) and a focus on operational excellence. This full-time position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits in a dynamic hospital setting in La Mesa, CA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in a veterinary practice or healthcare setting.
• CVPM, CVBL and/or a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or other relevant areas are preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated experience in P&L management and financial analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead all practice staff, including veterinary technicians, receptionists, and support staff.
• Oversee budgeting, billing and expense management with regular reviews of reports.
• Lead client relations by coaching teams to provide exceptional service and address feedback promptly.
• Ensure smooth daily operations including inventory, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Drive marketing and community outreach to attract and retain clients and promote the hospital.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory agencies and safety laws.
• Train staff on practice technology and coordinate with IT support as needed.
