Job summary

Heartland Veterinary Partners seeks a Practice Manager for Highland’s Pet Medical Clinic in Austin, Texas. The role partners with the MDVM to drive profitable daily operations, patient care excellence, and top‑tier client service.

You will supervise staff, manage payroll and vendor relations, coordinate scheduling, and collaborate with Heartland’s Recruiting and Marketing teams to support growth and a superior client experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in applied science, veterinary technology, or business is a plus.
• Practice Manager Certification a plus; strong leadership and operational experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages practice financial performance and drives revenue growth.
• Controls expenses including pharmacy, supplies, labor, and facility.
• Maintains inventory management with balanced stock and sales.
• Works with MDVM to ensure accurate pricing and budgeting.
• Provides input during annual budget planning and performance reviews.
• Ensures compliant medical records and regulatory adherence.
