Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Professional Services Veterinarian to consult with Practice Owner Veterinarians on medical protocols and to promote IDEXX products and testing. You will represent IDEXX to customers and academia, hosting seminars and continuing education for key influencers at veterinary hospitals and universities.

You will partner with Sales and other IDEXX areas to provide medical support, develop training materials, and present technical topics to varied audiences.

Qualifications

• DVM degree is required for eligibility.
• Advanced degree or board certification preferred.
• Typically 5–8 years of experience in veterinary industry or practice.
• Licensed to practice in at least one state is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of current topics in clinical veterinary medicine.
• Strong business acumen and product knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel up to 75% with a company vehicle.
• Extended hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Practice Owner Veterinarians on medical protocols to promote growth and utilization of IDEXX products and testing.
• Represent IDEXX to customers and academia; host seminars and continuing education sessions.
• Partner with Sales; provide medical support, training, and market trials.
• Create and review technical materials; present medical topics to diverse audiences.
• Support IDEXX Training Department with materials and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with IDEXX SOPs and administrative responsibilities.
• Handle veterinary and end-user questions with technical medical advice.
• Adhere to IDEXX guiding principles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
