Job summary

Small Door Inc. is seeking a Managing Veterinarian to lead a team of doctors across the Greater Boston area. You will mentor 1-5 doctors, guide clinical care, and partner with Regional Medical Director to recruit and retain top talent.

In this role you’ll uphold Small Door’s hospitality standards, manage scheduling, ensure DEA/compliance, and drive financial performance while delivering outstanding patient care and member experience.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent with an active state and DEA license.
• 5+ years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat pets and counsel clients.
• Directly manage and mentor a team of 1-5 doctors.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain veterinary talent.
• Coordinate doctor scheduling to ensure clinical coverage.
• Uphold Small Door's hospitality and values.
• Serve as clinical point of contact for medical questions.
