Job summary

Small Door Inc. is seeking a Veterinary Medical Director to lead clinical operations across our expanding network. You will diagnose and treat, mentor doctors, and partner with leadership to recruit top talent and ensure outstanding client care.

You will uphold our hospitality standards, manage DEA compliance, drive performance, and help scale our mission of modern, compassionate veterinary care across clinics.

Qualifications

• DVM with active state license and at least 5 years of practice experience.
• Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 1–5 doctors, fostering engagement and growth.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain top veterinary talent.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure clinical coverage and patient care quality.
• Uphold Small Door’s hospitality standards and culture.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (DEA, OSHA) and medical protocols.
