Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a Hospital Manager for North Boulder Companion Animal Hospital in Boulder, CO to lead a multidisciplinary hospital support team and partner with the veterinarian to ensure efficient operations and exceptional patient care.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, scheduling, and compliance while fostering a Culture of Care that emphasizes compassionate service, community involvement, and professional development across a growing network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, health science or related field preferred.
• At least five years of direct office management experience, including two years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to provide customer service in a courteous, prompt, and efficient manner.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and related software.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Flexible scheduling including some weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work with sick animals and hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, etc.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff within all hospital support departments and achieves labor goals.
• Hires and trains office and technical clinic staff; handles new hire paperwork.
• Orients and trains new clinic staff to the hospital and duties.
• Reviews performance and provides feedback; conducts weekly discussions with Regional Manager.
• Maintains daily operations and administers hospital functions.
• Manages budgets, scheduling, and inventory; coordinates with DVM.
• Oversees billing practices and local vendor invoices.
• Ensures compliance with licensure and hospital policies.
