Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a front desk, receptionist, or customer service role in a medical, dental, or veterinary setting
• Proven customer service skills with strong verbal and written communication
• Experience with appointment scheduling, multi-line phone systems, data entry, and payment processing or POS
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software
• Reliable, punctual, and professional; able to work independently and as part of a team
• Genuine affinity for animals and comfort working in a clinical setting
• Familiarity with veterinary or medical terminology or PIMS software considered a strong asset

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients at the front desk and confirm appointment details
• Answer and manage multi-line calls and provide scheduling information
• Process client checkout, payments, and future appointments
• Provide compassionate customer service for clients experiencing distress about their pet
• Enter data accurately and maintain organized records in the practice management system
• Communicate with clinical staff to relay messages and flag urgent needs
• Maintain a clean, welcoming reception and waiting area
