Job summary

Olde Towne Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, a comfort with animals, and the ability to stay composed under pressure. This is a full-time role with 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. shifts and alternating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of front desk, receptionist, or customer service experience in medical, dental, urgent care, veterinary, or high-volume service.
• Strong verbal and written communication with active listening and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with appointment scheduling, multi-line phones, data entry, and payment processing.
• Excellent organization and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new software and workflows.
• Reliable, punctual, professional, team player with genuine affinity for animals.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients at the front desk, collect intake information, and confirm appointments.
• Answer multi-line phone system; direct calls and inquiries about scheduling and services.
• Process payments, post charges, and schedule future appointments at checkout.
• Provide compassionate customer service to clients facing anxiety or difficult news about their pet.
• Enter data accurately and maintain organized records in the practice management system.
• Communicate with clinical staff to relay messages and support daily operations.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming reception and waiting area.
