Long Lake Animal Hospital & Lakeside Pet Resort of Troy is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to be the warm, first point of contact for clients and their pets in Troy, Michigan. This role blends front desk duties with compassionate animal care support.

As a Client Ambassador, you will greet clients, answer phones, schedule appointments, process payments, and assist with administrative tasks while helping create a welcoming experience for every patient.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of prior customer service experience.
• Reception experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working around animals, including those that may be anxious or aggressive.
• Physical requirements: stand, sit, move frequently, bend/kneel/stretch, maintain composure in a dynamic, high-energy environment.
• Full-time availability and Saturday shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet clients and pets upon arrival.
• Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and update medical charts.
• Process monetary transactions and handle client payments.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, stocking, scanning, and uploading records.
• Support kennel and boarding staff with dog walking, feeding, and check-in/check-out.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
