Job summary

Oakdale Veterinary Center is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Canton, IL. The role involves greeting clients and pets, scheduling appointments, processing payments, and maintaining patient records with a friendly, professional demeanor.

You will support the veterinary team, handle non-medical client needs, and help ensure a smooth lobby experience during busy periods. Prior front-desk or veterinary exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service, reception, veterinary, medical, or animal-care experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Schedule appointments according to clinic protocols and available appointment types.
• Accurately process payments and provide invoices.
• Maintain accurate client and patient information in the practice management system.
• Assist with medical records updates, prescriptions, and administrative tasks.
• Work cooperatively with veterinarians and staff to ensure smooth patient care and service.
