West Valley Pet Clinic in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to greet clients and pets, manage a busy front desk, and coordinate daily patient flow with the veterinary team.

You’ll handle check-ins, schedule appointments, enter records in Avimark or similar software, process payments and insurance claims, and maintain a welcoming reception area in a fast-paced clinic that cares deeply about animals and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a veterinary receptionist or in animal care preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Comfortable handling animals of all sizes and temperaments.
• Proficiency with veterinary software is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinic.
• Compassionate, professional and team-oriented demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a positive check-in experience.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, managing a busy multi-line phone system.
• Enter and maintain client and patient records in practice software.
• Process payments, invoices, and insurance claims at the front desk.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and technicians to manage patient flow.
• Respond to client inquiries in person, by phone or email.
• Maintain a clean, organized front office and waiting area.
