Melrose Veterinary Hospital in Vista, California seeks an outgoing Veterinary Receptionist to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital. In this fast-paced role you will manage appointments, greet clients, answer phones, and support clinicians with client information.

This full-time position offers a wage of $23–$27 per hour, a 5/8 or 4/10 schedule, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in veterinary customer service, or reception role.
• Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred.
• Proficiency in managing a multi-phone line system and assisting in-person clients.
• Experience using veterinary practice management software, especially Shepherd.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars.
• Ability to process payments and maintain financial records.
• Positive attitude and teamwork-oriented mindset.
• Calm, professional, and solution-oriented during busy periods.
