Job summary

AmeriVet is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, both in person and on the phone. You will greet clients, schedule appointments, manage payments, and provide administrative support to the veterinary team.

You will handle check-ins/outs, maintain patient records in the practice management software, inform clients about services, and help coordinate patient flow to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere in the clinic.
• Answer incoming calls, manage multiple phone lines, and respond to client inquiries with accurate information.
• Schedule appointments, manage the appointment calendar, and confirm upcoming appointments.
• Check-in and check-out patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
• Process payments, issue receipts, and handle any billing inquiries.
• Maintain client and patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and entered accurately into the practice management software.
• Provide clients with information about services, products, and after-care instructions.
• Assist with the coordination of patient flow to ensure smooth operation of the clinic.
• Perform general office duties such as digital faxing, emailing, and managing office supplies.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to all patients.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
• Handle client concerns or complaints in a professional manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
