VEG is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to lead a team of credentialed veterinary technicians and assistants in a fast-paced emergency veterinary environment. You will coach staff, improve care quality, and partner with leadership to drive performance and morale.

The role emphasizes empathy, accountability, and growth, with a focus on maintaining high standards of care, teamwork, and operational flow across shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a clinical veterinary nursing or technician role
• A focus on developing leadership skills
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, lift up to 25 kg unaided and up to 40 kg with assistance
• Willingness to work in a noisy environment with strong odors
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse people

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor credentialed veterinary technicians and assistants at all levels
• Address team issues with clarity and care, protecting patients and the team
• Collaborate with hospital leadership on performance, feedback, recognition, and planning
• Help design and maintain hospital flow to reflect the VEG Spikes and ensure patients see a doctor promptly
• Address customer concerns in real time and partner with leadership for lasting solutions
• Keep people and pets together, supported, and cared for during visits
• Manage the nursing schedule, PTO requests, and daily coverage needs
• Guide team utilization to meet operational needs and development goals
• Lead team huddles and meetings to keep everyone aligned and inspired
• Collaborate across the leadership team to ensure smooth hospital operations
