Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a Nursing Manager to lead a veterinary nursing team in our emergency hospitals. You will build a culture where staff are empowered, connected, and proud of their work, shaping emergency nursing leadership with compassion and collaboration.

You will bridge process and purpose—ensuring exceptional patient care while VEGgies grow, thrive, and brag about where they work. This role is a unique leadership opportunity in a fast-paced ER environment.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician in the practice state.
• 5+ years in clinical veterinary nursing; emergency experience preferred.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day flow for nursing team, ensuring tools and support for optimal performance.
• Oversee scheduling, payroll, productivity, hiring, onboarding and offboarding.
• Address patient care issues and team dynamics with empathy and clarity.
• Partner with hospital leadership to align goals and hospital flow.
• Use doctor feedback to guide team development and maintain medical excellence.
• Lead with VEG values—openness, togetherness, heroic helping.
• Champion a culture of learning with in-house training and mentorship.
• Ensure licensure, performance standards, and education programs are upheld across the team.
• Drive 1:1s, check-ins, and student mentorship for career growth.
