Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a Nursing Manager to lead a veterinary nursing team and foster a culture of care, collaboration, and clinical excellence. You will bridge process and purpose, ensuring exceptional patient care while empowering VEGgies to grow and thrive.

This leadership role focuses on developing people, aligning hospital flow, and delivering on VEG’s mission to improve the emergency experience for teams, clients, and their pets.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the practice state (CVT/RVT/LVMT).
• 5+ years in clinical veterinary nursing; 2+ years in leadership.
• Excellent communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day flow for nursing team, ensuring tools and support are available.
• Oversee scheduling, payroll, productivity, hiring, onboarding and offboarding.
• Address patient care issues and team dynamics with empathy and clarity.
• Partner with hospital leadership to align goals and flow.
• Use feedback to guide team development and maintain medical excellence.
• Lead with VEG values—openness, togetherness, heroic helping.
• Champion a culture of learning with in-house training and mentorship.
• Ensure licensure, performance standards, and education programs.
• Drive meaningful 1:1s, check-ins, and student mentorship.
