VEG is seeking a Nursing Manager to lead an emergency veterinary nursing team, shaping a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and exceptional patient care. You will bridge process and purpose, ensuring high standards while growing VEGgies through mentorship and development.

This role focuses on strategic leadership, staff development, and creating an atmosphere where nurses thrive, patients receive top care, and the team remains engaged in VEG's mission and values.

Qualifications

• CVT/RVT/LVMT credential in the state of VEG practice is required or strongly preferred AVMA-accredited program.
• 5+ years in a clinical veterinary nursing role with emergency experience; 2+ years in leadership.
• Excellent communication and people skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day flow for nursing team and provide tools and support to shine.
• Oversee scheduling, payroll, productivity, hiring, onboarding and offboarding.
• Address patient care issues and team dynamics with empathy and clarity.
• Partner with hospital leadership to align on goals and hospital flow.
• Use feedback to guide team development and maintain medical excellence.
• Lead with VEG values and foster a culture of learning with in-house training and mentorship.
• Ensure licensure, performance standards, and education programs are upheld across the team.
• Drive 1:1s, check-ins, and student mentorship for long-term growth.
