Job summary

The MSPCA-Angell Careers is seeking a Manager of Clinical Services (MCS) to lead the Veterinary Clinic Services team at Angell in Boston. This exempt, full-time role focuses on strategic oversight, staff development, and cross-department collaboration to deliver high-quality client and patient care.

The MCS will supervise a diverse clinical staff, drive training, ensure staffing levels, and partner with HR to handle employee relations while advancing the hospital’s mission and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Five years of hospital management experience (or experience in a clinical setting with multiple disciplines).
• Five years of experience as a Certified Veterinary Technician or Highly Skilled Clinical Leader.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages the Veterinary Clinic staff including Veterinary Clinical Assistants, Veterinary Clinical Technicians, Lead Veterinary Clinical Technicians and Clinic Supervisors.
• Oversees staffing, onboarding, and resource planning for the Clinic Services Department.
• Collaborates with Outpatient Service Director, HR, and other hospital teams to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Develops training programs and policies; supports performance reviews and employee relations.
• Maintains positive, respectful, and professional relationships among staff and clients.
• Assists in budget preparations for Client Services and aligns department goals with hospital strategy.
