Job summary

MSPCA-Angell in Boston seeks a Certified Veterinary Technician with proven leadership to head our Oncology Services Team. This full-time exempt role focuses on operations and personnel management, with the ability to assist in clinical work when necessary.

You will supervise staff, develop policies, manage training, and participate in hospital manager meetings, while ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

• CVT through MVTA or eligible for out-of-state reciprocity.
• Minimum 3 years veterinary technician experience, 1 year oncology experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory and customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervision, staff development & training of Oncology Services Team.
• Development & implementation of policies & procedures, quality assurance, with fiscal responsibilities.
• Regular communication with oncology department personnel to improve operations.
• The manager should be capable of assisting in clinical work as a veterinary technician when needed.
• Provide input for department training needs and updating training/safety checklists and manuals.
• Meet with staff regularly and participate in hospital manager meetings.
