Job summary

MSPCA-Angell is seeking a Manager of Oncology Services in Boston to lead the Oncology Services Team, including support staff and daily department operations. The role emphasizes operations and personnel management, with the option to assist in clinical work as needed.

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000–$90,000 per year, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus for CVTs. Candidates with additional credentials may be considered for higher compensation.

Qualifications

• Certified veterinary technician (CVT) through the MVTA or eligible for certification through out-of-state reciprocity.
• Minimum 3 years veterinary practice experience as a veterinary technician.
• Minimum 1 year veterinary oncology experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory and customer service experience.
• Demonstration of increased job responsibility and previous supervisory experience.
• 3 years: Minimum of 3 years Veterinary Technician experience is required, 1 year of oncology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Oncology Services Team including veterinary support staff and daily department operations.
• Develop & implement policies & procedures, quality assurance, along with fiscal responsibilities.
• Communicate with oncology department personnel to maintain understanding and improve processes.
• Assist in clinical work as a veterinary technician when necessary.
• Meet with staff regularly and participate in hospital manager meetings.
